GLOBAL LEARNING CENTER

The Global Learning Center was officially opened on October 10.

Purpose

As a hub for developing global human resources, Hiroshima University collaborates with Higashihiroshima City and participating companies to provide foreign language learning support, Japanese language education support, multicultural collaboration, and study abroad support, thereby fostering the foundation for global talent development.

Details regarding event contents, reservations, and related information will soon be announced on the official Hiroshima University website (Momiji) as well as on the website of the Hiroshima University Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact.

Functions

SALC (Self-Access Learning Center for Foreign Language Learning Support)

Overview

This program offers participants the opportunity to experience multilingual communication—such as English French, Korean, Chinese, etc.—in small groups with instructors and student staff.
From beginners to advanced learners, our staff provide friendly support tailored to each participant’s  language level.
You can also practice conversation based on specific themes and prepare for language proficiency tests such as IELTS and TOEFL.The program is open to Hiroshima University students, Higashihiroshima citizens, and members of affiliated companies.Why not take your first step toward becoming familiar with multiple languages in a relaxed and welcoming environment?

■Three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays)

■Two 60-minute sessions per day (10:30–11:30 / 15:00–16:00)

Eligible Participants: All Hiroshima University students and Higashihiroshima citizens

Overview

This is a Japanese language class designed for international students and foreign researchers, ranging from complete beginners to the elementary level.

Introductory Class: Mondays & Wednesdays (13:00–15:00)

Elementary Class: Tuesdays & Fridays (13:00–15:00)

Eligible Participants: All Hiroshima University students and Higashihiroshima citizens (in preparation)

Past participants of the university’s study abroad programs are available for consultation on program details, costs, duration, and language proficiency tests, etc.

This is an event where Japanese students and international students interact through games and conversations, fostering intercultural exchange.
