GLOBAL LEARNING CENTER

Development of the Global Learning Center

Background

This project will establish a “Collaborative Peace Course” based on the Town & Gown Initiative. Additionally, “Collaborative Overseas Courses” will be implemented in partnership with international universities such as Arizona State University.
To support these initiatives, a dedicated support space with the following functions will be developed:

  • lA venue for group learning and inquiries related to fieldwork in the Collaborative Peace Course
  • lOpportunities for interaction with international students and English language learning
  • lEstablishment of a study abroad consultation desk for Collaborative Overseas Courses

Future Developments

Establishment of the Global Learning Center on the 3rd Floor of the West Library

To meet these needs, the third floor of the West Library will be renovated in October 2025 to create the Global Learning Center. This facility will serve as a support hub for multicultural collaborative learning courses, independent foreign language learning, and study abroad consultations, providing an international learning environment.

Satellite Functions in Each Faculty

In addition, satellite locations with some Global Learning Center functions will be set up within each faculty. Along with expanding existing Global Commons, new facilities will be introduced to enhance student support for multicultural collaborative learning and foreign language study in a more accessible environment.
